    On Friday, July 21, 2023, the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances act search warrant at a residence in the district of Kana:takon, Akwesasne. The search warrant execution was the result of an investigation into street level drug trafficking of a controlled substance. As a result of the investigation police seized approximately 55 grams of Methamphetamine, Heroin, and 792 prescription pills. Two firearms were also seized as a result of the search.
