    The Iroquois Nationals took third overall in the World Lacrosse Championships played July 10 to 19 in Denver, Colo. The highest they ever placed and a first ever medal. After losing the opportunity to play for the world title with a 12-6 defeat at the hands of Canada, who went on to claim tournament top honors against the U.S., the Nationals claimed a comfortable 16-5 victory against the Australian contingent on Saturday, July 19.     The 2014 Ironworkers Festival held its 12th annual event at the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino and Resort on Saturday, July 19th. It attracted Ironworkers from the United States and Canada who came together to share memories and celebrate the proud trade of Ironworking with friendly competition.     Akwesasne, NY - The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe's two newest police officers graduated from the Zone 9 Police Academy on July 11, 2014 while surrounded by family and friends. The eight officers who graduated were from the Clinton County Sheriff Department, Franklin County Sheriff Department, Plattsburgh Police Department and the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police.     On Saturday July 19, Tribal Police Community Resource Officer PJ Burns participated in "Fishing for Special Needs" and took youth and adults with special needs fishing in the St. Lawrence River in Akwesasne territory.
