    On Saturday, July 12 the American Legion Post 1479's parking lot was chockfull with around 100 motorcycles. The Norfolk American Legion Riders were doing a fundraising ride for the Wounded Warrior Program, and one stop was Post 1479 where Auxiliary members fed them lunch. Lyme disease is an illness spread by ticks which can cause serious symptoms if not treated. Symptoms include a red bull’s-eye type mark, fatigue, chills, and muscle/joint pain.     Submitted by Mamie David The Iroquois Nationals are in Denver, Colorado for the 2014 FIL World Championships representing native people from the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. The team first travelled to Vail, Colorado to get acclimatized to the higher altitudes in Denver, also known as the Mile High city due to its elevation of 5,280 ft. above sea level. In Vail the altitude is almost 11 thousand feet above sea level so the change was dramatic for some and took time to get adjusted but that is all taken care of before the games begin on Thursday....
