    The 2010 Iroquois Nationals Lacrosse Team, featuring players from Akwesasne, Onondaga, Six Nations and other Haudenosaunee communities, has been stuck in New York City awaiting clearance to fly to England for the 2010 FIL World Lacrosse Championships.     Several Akwesasne community members and business owners received a letter from the Bank of Montreal last week stating that their accounts are being closed as of July 19, 2010. Recipients of the letters received one by regular mail and another by registered mail in the first week of July, leaving them with two weeks to close all accounts and tie loose ends.     The St. Regis Mohawk Tribe has decided to end its exclusive discussions with Empire Resorts to build a Class III Casino in the Catskills region of New York State.     A team of 22 people from Akwesasne and Fort Covington traveled to Boston last month to participate in the annual NSTAR Walk for Children’s Hospital (Boston).
