The Akwesasne Iron Girls: Karen Francis, Amanda Jacobs, Tasha Thompson and Terri Rios-Passon participated in the 2019 Women's Philadelphia Triathlon – Women's PHLTRI on Saturday, July 6, 2019. The triathlon consisted of a 300-meter swim, a nine-mile bike ride and a 5k run. At this time, no decision has been rendered regarding the Indian Day School class action. AKWESASNE – Wayne A. Thomas, 74, of Thomas Lane, Kanatakon, unexpectedly passed away Sunday morning, July 7, 2019 at Cornwall Community Hospital.
