An Akwesasne woman was formally indicted last week for allegedly driving while drunk and striking and killing a man with the minivan she was operating. According to police, Jessica Lazore, 27, struck 21-year-old Tyson Arquette on St. Regis Road in Akwesasne at around 5 a.m. on January 15, 2010. Lazore, who according to police remained at the scene, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, vehicular manslaughter and vehicular assault. DRUG TRAFFICKING - James Buckshot, 45, of Cornwall was arrested on the 2nd of July, 2010. The Cornwall Community Police Service Street Crime Unit conducted an investigation after receiving information of alleged drug trafficking. The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Conservation Department is without a boat after their 19-foot hydro yacht was stolen over the weekend from King’s Marina on the Snye Channel on June 27 or June 28.
