    Recently I observed a few turtles trying to cross the roads here in kwesasne. Sadly, the first one had been run over. Someone told me they saw the person, who on route 37 by the Bingo Palace, purposely went out of their way to drive onto the shoulder and run that turtle over.     A few dozen three and four year olds sat and fidgeted through their very first graduation ceremony last week. The St. Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Early Childhood Development Program (Headstart) held two “Moving Up” ceremonies for their students moving on to Pre-k. The students were given jackets with their name sewed on it and each graduate also received a diploma and goody bag.     The championship play-off game between Ice Hawks and North Country Savings Bank took place on Tuesday evening June 30th.
