Akwesasne Territory - On June 15, at approximately 3:00 p.m., an alarm notified the Hogansburg-Akwesasne Volunteer Fire Department that there was a significant drop in water pressure at the Office for the Aging Senior Center. When the Fire Department arrived, the building had two to four inches of water covering most areas within the center. The Fire Department, Maintenance, Senior Center staff and Tribal Administration responded to the call. All efforts were made to minimize the damages and dehumidify the building as quick as possible....
June 3, 2013 Adam T. Francis, 20 of Hogansburg, NY was arrested on an outstanding warrant by Tribal Police when Mr. Francis was observed at a residence on St. Regis Rd. Tribal Police arraigned Mr. Francis at Bombay Town Court who required Mr. Francis post $2,500 bail or $5,000 bond. He was remanded to the Franklin County Jail. Subsequent to his arrest Mr. Francis was found to be in possession of Marijuana and was charged for that offense and is scheduled to appear in Town Court at a later date.
