The Cornwall Island Redmen took on the Snake Island Muskies in an exciting game that took place on Jun. 9 at Anowarakowa Arena (Turtle Dome) starting at 8:00pm. The Muskies took an assertive lead in the first period with a score of 2-5. But, the Redmen managed to bring the game to a tie in the second and surpassed the Muskies with a score of 10-7. Peter Back entered his first horseshoe tournament of the year last week. He will be entering another one next week at Floyd NY. After this past week at New Berlin, NY, he took first place and returned home with a trophy and cash prize. He is in the Class C division and has been tossing shoes for about 20 years now. Submitted by Teres, Hill Top Rentals Captain Our score from Hill Top Rentals and Tommy’s Monday night at 5:30 at Alcoa 1 field was an amazing game. The score was 10-12 for Tommy’s. After the 1st inning the score was 3-1 for Tommy’s. No runs were scored in the 2nd inning. The 3rd inning the score was 7-6 for Tommy’s. By the 5th inning the score was 12-6 which was making our girls very discouraged. We managed to keep Tommy’s scoreless for the 6th and 7th innings but it wasn’t enough for us to beat them.
