    Akwesasne Soaring Eagles volleyball club is now an inaugural member of the Ontario Volleyball Association Beach Volleyball tournament circuit with five teams competing in 12U - 13U - 14U - 16U & 17U.     This weekend the Akwesasne Storm Lax Teams participated in the Cornwall Celtics Lacrosse Tournament. From Paper Weight thru Bantam, all teams did an excellent job this weekend. Peewee Storm started their tournament of Friday playing against Kahnawake beating them 5-3.     The unofficial results are in and Ronald Lafrance Jr. pulled ahead in the race to represent the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal electoral as the next Tribal Chief. A total of 786 votes were cast in the 2011 Tribal election with Lafrance garnering a majority of 392 votes with 380 votes the day of the election and 12 absentee ballots. Barbara Lazore received a total of 217 votes, 202 were made the day of the election with 15 absentee ballots.
