The Salmon River boys varsity lacrosse team participated in a roadside cleanup on Saturday, May 29th from 9am -12 noon. The varsity team covered different areas of Fort Covington & Akwesasne and alongside CAA Management and Twinleaf Stores property. On May 31, 2021, the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne voted to rescind the Akwesasne Emergency Curfew Law. Therefore, the curfew hours and the travel radius will no longer be in place as of June 3, 2021. This decision was made based on the local trends of decreasing COVID-19 cases and the increasing rate of vaccinations.
