    Massena’s varsity boy’s lacrosse team posted an impressive end to their 2016 regular season, earning Coach Kris Covell his 100th win and following it with number 101. Covell’s milestone win came on Tuesday, May 17 over Salmon River. The game was also the first time Massena bested Salmon with Covell at the helm. Massena closes their regular season with a 14-2 record. After the match was tied 10-all at the half, Massena returned to the field to outscore their opponents 5-2 in the fourth stanza. On Saturday May 14th, the Braves took on the newly named Tyendinaga Thunderbirds of the Three Nations Senior Lacrosse League at the Desoronto Community Sports Complex.     Last weekend there was plenty of lacrosse action on Kawehnoke. In the first game there was plenty of end-to-end action and breakaways but in the end, the Gloucester Tykes had more of them, and they won 6-4. Roryn Roundpoint, Treven Seymour, Taeys Tasse-Benedict, Korvin Edwards and Dash Adams scored Akwesasne's goals. Benedict picked up an assist.
