The annual Memorial Day parade hosted by the American Legion Post 1479 will be held on Sunday May 26th. This year’s theme is ‘Celebrating 100 Years of the American Legion.’ The parade will start promptly at noon, rain or shine, leaving from Mill Street and ending at the American Legion. I went with my family to see the new lacrosse movie "The Grizzlies" in Ottawa a few weeks ago. It is a true story of a Native community in Nunavut and their introduction to our game. The young Native actors were very natural and believable in their roles. They were funny too.
