    A Fun Day for the entire family on July 30th 2016 presented by PICEI. Event starts with “The Power Wheels Derby”, followed by entertainment throughout the day until Dusk.     The Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (SLSDC) is asking for your assistance with spreading the word to help locate friends and family of those who lost their lives during the original construction of the Seaway from 1954-1959.     Submitted by Lynda Brown Students from Head Start to Grade 5 participated in the Tom Longboat Run on May 5, 2016 at Tsi Snaihne School. There was a great turnout of family and friends to cheer the students on during the race. Students enjoyed oranges, water, and watermelon after the race. A bake sale was held for the Friends Helping Friends Food Pantry and $187.00 dollars was raised to buy items for the pantry like canned tuna, cereal, and fruit cups.     A couple of teams from Gloucester and Nepean came to Kawehnoke last Sunday for a couple of hard hitting fast moving lacrosse games. In the first game in the Novice division Jensen White and Kahontiio Lazore did all the scoring for Akwesasne, but Gloucester won that game 11-6.
