    Hydro Quebec is informing their customers that on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 there will be a planned power outage that will span most of the day. The estimate is that from 8:00am to 5:00pm power will be out as work will be done at the Huntington Substation. There will be about 3,000 customers affected including the districts of Snye and St. Regis. Hydro Quebec says this upgrade is a necessity prior to the air conditioning season for Hydro Quebec’s service area....

    Akwesasne, NY — On May 5, 2016 the Community had been notified through the Indian Time Newspaper that a referendum was going to be part of the upcoming election on June 4th. The purpose of the referendum was to seek direction from membership on two proposed initiatives—medical marijuana and industrial hemp.
