  • Hydro Quebec Not Charging Reconnection of Power Fees

    The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne would like to inform the community that Hydro Quebec will no longer be charging a $50 fee for the reconnection of power due to arrears (late/missed payments). Hydro Quebec installed the New Generation (Communicating) meters in 2016; this eliminates the need for a Hydro Quebec agent to physically reconnect power during the disconnection season.
