The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne would like to inform the community that starting on Monday, May 25, 2015, the intersection of Brookdale Avenue and Second Street West in Cornwall, ON will be closed to east-west traffic. AKWESASNE, NY - The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Wildlife Services will be conducting an Oral Rabies Vaccination (ORV) drop for raccoons in Franklin County, including the area of Akwesasne, from June 2 and 3, 2015. The ORV program uses fixed-wing aircraft to distribute baits over large geographic areas flying approximately 500 feet above ground level.
