After community consultation, the SRMT Environment revived the Akwesasne Roadside Ditch Clean Up. The annual Akwesasne Roadside Ditch Cleanup took place on Saturday, May 7, 2022. Volunteers from all districts of Akwesasne's cleaned roadside ditches from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Many participants registered early and picked up supplies such as garbage bags and gloves, prior to the cleanup.
