The Salmon River boys lacrosse team started the week off at Saranac Lake with a 24-6 win. The Red Storm gave the Shamrocks a hard time at first by trading goals in the first quarter. Salmon led a close 4-3 game at the end of the first. The Shamrocks shook off their bus legs for the second quarter to lead 13-5 at the half followed by a 7-1 run in the third. (May 9, 2016) A thrilling Division Semifinal round saw both games decided in overtime this past weekend. In the East Division Semifinal the New England Black Wolves beat the Georgia Swarm 14-13 in overtime. In the West, the Calgary Roughnecks overcame the Colorado Mammoth in overtime 11-10. The Canadian Premier Junior Hockey League is pleased to announce the addition of its ninth franchise member - the Akwesasne Chiefs. Gary Rini will manage the team. The Chiefs will play out of the historic A`nowara`ko:wa Arena.
