    TERRITORY OF AKWESASNE – The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne announced today that it received a $476,115 two-year grant from the Government of Ontario to support the development of an Akwesasne Tobacco Law and Regulatory Framework.     A Public Information Session was held on May 7th at the St. Regis Mohawk School to discuss the ‘Selected Remedy’ to deal with the polluted 7.2 mile stretch of the Grasse River.
