The sport of Roller Derby is seeing a comeback from the 1970's and the four-year-old Seaway Roller Derby Girls League held a match on Cornwall Island last weekend called Thunder In The Valley. The Cornwall Power Dames hosted and defeated the Renfrew Valkyries 219-133. The sport is making a resurgence across Canada and the U.S. with the Seaway Roller Derby Girls League being the local loop. Boys Lacrosse The Massena Red Raiders fashioned wide victories against Northwood Prep and Ogdensburg Free Academy. They defeated Northwood 15-5 on April 30. Kendrick Angus, who also had three assists, and Cole Allen were offensive leaders with three goals each. Nick Henrie scored twice and had a pair of assists. Hunter Pyke and J.P. The Junior B Indians put up some goals in Brampton, Ontario last Saturday but unfortunately the host Excelsiors scored in bunches to win 9-7.
