    Akwesasne -The Child Support Enforcement Unit of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe received approval from the Administration for Children and Families/Office of Child Support Enforcement (ACF/OCSE) to operate a Comprehensive Child Support Program. The Tribe’s Family Support Act was signed into law by Tribal Council on February 4, 2014, after several public meetings, and then submitted to the ACF/OCSE for their approval.     On Saturday night, the St. Lawrence Centre Arena was the home of SPIRIT FC 4. Eleven fights were on the card including five title fights. Local fighters came out of CNY MMA in Hogansburg and Controlled Chaos in Westville. Many of their opponents came from Bridgeport, NY out of Kountry Boys MMA and some fighters were independent.     Akwesasne Territory - The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe has declared a state of emergency effective April 16, 2014 due to the continued flooding issues in Akwesasne. If you are a member and have received flood-related services from a vendor where you paid them, please keep your receipts. There is a possibility that these services may be reimbursable from a State or Federal Agency. The Franklin County Assessor will be assessing the damaged roads and homes starting next week. Sensei Joe Colarusso, Proprietor and Senior Instructor of He Yee Dao Karate Association, has been instructing classes for about three years at the school.
