    By Andy Gardner CANTON. Christopher Hebert maintained his innocence as he was sentenced to 25 years up to the rest of his life in state prison for murdering Lacey Yekel in 2014. Judge Jerome Richards handed down the sentence in St. Lawrence County Court on the morning of Thursday, April 11. A jury found Hebert guilty of murder on Thursday, March 21 after a weeklong trial and just under seven hours of deliberations. Hebert killed Yekel on or around June 7, 2014 in Massena.
