The Akwesasne Child and Family Services of Mohawk Council of Akwesasne and the Office of Economic Development and the Akwesasne Chamber of Commerce held a Youth Business Fair at the St. Regis Mohawk School in Hogansburg. AKWESASNE – Mrs. Ruth D. Cook, 87, 1506 River Road, Snye, unexpectedly passed away Thursday morning, April 9, 2015 at her home. Ruth was born on December 6, 1927 in Akwesasne, the daughter of the late Louis and Hattie David Chubb and attended Hogansburg schools. The Salmon River Central School District Board of Education has narrowed the search for a superintendent of schools to two candidates. Donald Carlisle from Warwick, New York and Stanley Harper from Troy, New York are the two remaining candidates still under consideration from an initial pool of 14 applicants.
