Massena girls and boys lacrosse teams dropped their first Northern Athletic Conference games of the 2017 season. The boys team played a tough 15-10 contest against Canton at the Potsdam High School turf field on April 2. Massena jumped out to an early 1-0 lead, but solid offensive work had Canton ahead 4-3 going into the second quarter. Following a 7-7 league record, 11-9 overall record and 4th place in the Central Division the 2016-17 Salmon River Boys Basketball program received Three Academic All – Northern Awards with Junior guard Jared Bigness, Junior forward Ben Kelly, and Junior guard Hunter Ghostlaw.
