The arena was packed as leftover fans from the first semi-final game between the Ohsweken Demons and Brampton Inferno stayed to find out who their team would face in a championship game dubbed The Creators Cup. Last year the Massena Girl’s Varsity Lacrosse team finished the season with a 15-2 overall record. In 2011 the Lady Raiders went undefeated in the league and went on to win their second Section 10 B/C Championship in a row. During March Break Kana:takon School’s Early Years’ playground equipment was vandalized. The plexi glass on the slide was broken. This spring there will be some new coaching faces on Salmon River’s playing fields and the on track. Shawn Martin will be taking the helm of the track and field team with the assistance of Kim Russell. They are taking over the reins from long time coach Danny Mainville. Ganondagan Seneca Historic Site hosted the Haudenosaunee Seed Workshop on March 24th of this year. It was well attended from farmers and seed growers across the Confederacy. On March 26th, 2012, Cornwall Regional Task Force (CRTF) members received information that a boat was approaching shore in the East end of Cornwall. As members arrived in the area two males were observed loading cases of cigarettes into the back of a van at a waterfront residence. On March 21, 2012 the Akwesasne Mohawk Police responded to a disturbance at the Kanonhkwa’tsheri:io Medical Clinic located at 41 Hill Top Drive, Kanatakon. Upon arrival police found a male subject sitting at the South entrance of the building who appeared to be intoxicated.
