    March 2019 was a big month for the members of the Akwesasne Atom B Wolves Hockey Club. March was the month that they successfully earned their title as the Lower Saint Lawrence Champions with 22 wins, 1 tie and only 1 loss in the regular season.     New cars and money were the phrases most heard that would happen if the referendum for a casino was passed. The referendum was passed and yes, we do receive benefits from the casino. Fuel allotments, electric bills for elders 65 years old and many programs for our youth. Sadly, Tribal Council have used these benefits in threatening ways that cause a lot of fear among our people.
