    The Salmon River Board of Education passed a resolution last week to develop a school hall of fame that will recognize achievements in all areas of the school, from academics and athletics to volunteerism and service. A committee is currently being formed and community members interested in being involved are asked to submit letters of interest.     On March 23, 2010, the St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Council adopted New York State’s Department of Environmental Conservation’s Statewide Angling Regulations as an interim Tribal regulation. “We see this as part of our responsibilities to protect, preserve and restore fish and game resources,” remarked Tribal Chief James Ransom.     On March 27 to 28, the Snye Recreation Center in Tsi Snaihne (Snye) held their Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Flea Market. The event is one of the largest that the center organizes and was fun for the whole family. Easter festivities started early Saturday at 10 am with the flea market followed by Pie Bingo and the adult Easter Bonnet contest at 1:00pm.     St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Chief James Ransom said Tuesday that Tribal Council supports the United States Census 2010 – the counting of all people – and that tribal programs depend on accurate numbers for funding they receive.     The Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service were recently advised that there was an outstanding Extradition Warrant for the Arrest of Philip M. Lazore, 27 years of age of Tsi Snaihne, Quebec. Lazore was arrested without incident by the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service on March 30th, 2010 in Tsi Snaihne.
