After winning the regular season championship the Chiefs entered the 2016 post-season with a 10-0 win and went on to repeat as playoff champions. It was a fun filled week for these first time participants. They started off Monday evening with a win against the Moose Cree Lil Chiefs with a score of 8-7. (March 16, 2016) UMass-Amherst freshman defenseman Brandon Montour (Ohsweken, Ontario) has signed an NHL contract with the Anaheim Ducks. Montour played just half a season with the Minutemen, after he was ineligible for the first half of the season, but was very good in the 21 games he did play with the Minutemen. The TNSLL (Three Nations Senior Lacrosse League) is pleased to announce the return of the St. Regis Braves for this upcoming 2016 lacrosse season. The back-to-back champions of the 2010 and 2011 Presidents Cup made an application in February at the First Nations Lacrosse Association’s general meeting held at the Tonawanda Seneca Reservation. The adult bonnet contest was held during intermission and our winners were Elaine Cook, Bobbi Lazore and Cecilia Johnson each received a small gift bag with candy and a $25.00 Gift Card. Malone, NY - The Akwesasne/Twin Leaf team defeated CJ Trucking by a score of 57-53 to win the Malone Adult League Seniors Division Championship in a close contest this past Saturday, March 19th. The victory completed a very successful 2015-2016 winter season for the Twin Leaf Team as they finished with 13 wins and only 3 losses.
