I chose this poem because my grandpa is full Native American and that makes me part Native American. It shows my dad and his beliefs of the heartbeat in the poem that stands for the Indian Nations. I thought that it would be cool to tell about me, my dad, and grandpa being Native American. This poem reminds me of the drum that my grandpa made for my brother made out of real deerskin.
