    Despite some big scoring chances that came in bunches, the Akwesasne Wolves Bantam hockey team came up short 2-0 last weekend at the Benson Center in Cornwall. The visiting Russell Coyotes scored the first period's only goal. Akwesasne came close to tying near the end of the period on Akenhi:io Lazore and Rayne Arenovich close calls.     The Massena Raiders boy’s varsity hockey team are making a run for the state title after beating Canton for Section 10 honors, and later downing Section 2 champs Bethlehem in state quarterfinals. Meanwhile, the Lady Raiders varsity basketball team lost their chance at the Section 10 overall title, but will still compete in state Class A playoffs.
