During the last two weekends, the Massena Boys grade 7 and 8 travel team was invited to enter basketball tournaments at Peru and the latest in Oswego. In Peru, the boys began their play at noon and again in the afternoon. After winning two games on Saturday, the team played again on Sunday entering into the championship game against the Saranac Chiefs. The final was 47-38 as Saranac trailed closely behind. On Wednesday, Seaway GM President Andre Lapointe presented a check for $1000 to the Akwesasne Minor Hockey Association. The Akwesasne Minor Hockey Association will be sending seven teams, along with their families, to the Little Native Hockey League Tournament hosted by Six Nations Minor Hockey Association, and taking place in Mississauga, Ontario.
