Students’ reading points are collected and the top three readers of each month receive incentives for their work. On Sunday February 24th, 2008 at 12:00 pm the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service conducted a RIDE Program on International Road in Akwesasne, Ontario. Approximately 75 vehicles were checked, with 2 verbal warnings issued for not wearing seat belts. The RIDE Program stands for Reduced Impaired Driving Everywhere, and was established in 1977 in Etobicoke, Ontario.
