    (Enniska/February 17, 2020) The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne attended a meeting on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2020 with City of Cornwall officials to discuss news that the NAV Centre in Cornwall will be used as a novel coronavirus (COVID-19) quarantine site for evacuated Canadians currently aboard the Diamond Princess cruise ship docked in Japan.     The "29th" Akwesasne Winter Carnival was held in Tsi Snaihne with the Snye Recreation Committee as gracious hosts. While most events took place at the Syne Recreation Center, events were held at Kana:takon School, St. Regis Mohawk School, the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino and Resort and various other venues in Akwesasne.     By: Jaclyn Hall Taking place at the Tsi Snaihne Recreation on Sunday morning, Iakwa'shatste Youth Fitness organized an Akwesasne Winter Carnival Snowshoe Race. The track is located just outside of the recreation center.
