The meetings actually began the week before the raids at Wild Flower and AK420. On the day of the raid on Wednesday, February 6th, a meeting took place at the Wild Flower Dispensary at 4 pm and later in the evening, community members gathered at the Peoples Meeting at 7 pm. This was the first time since 2010 that the club hosted a girls-only sleepover. Students who met their January reading goal and completed 12 reading responses were invited to attend. Little Ray's Reptiles brought two lizards, a small turtle, a tortoise, hissing cockroaches, a poisonous frog, a boa constrictor and a python for us to view. The old Tribal Admin building is slated to be demolished to make room for additional parking for the Health Clinic. This building was built in the late 1970’s using steel and reinforced concrete, by men of this community. In terms of a usable life, it isn’t very old. SkyWest Airlines has been awarded the Essential Air Service subsidy for Massena and Ogdensburg. The $6 million contract begins April 1.
