    Crust: 1 cup all-purpose flour • 3 Tbsp. Powdered sugar • ½ cup butter, softened Filling: 2 eggs, beaten 1 cup granulated sugar ¼ cup all purpose flour ½ tsp. baking powder ¾ cup chopped walnuts ½ cup sweetened shredded coconut ½ cup maraschino cherries, drained and quartered 1 tsp. vanilla extract ¼ tsp. salt Preheat oven to 350 degrees.   • AMPS and Boys and Girls Club compete in floor hockey

    In late January, members of the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service, Cornwall and Valleyfield Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and the Ontario Provincial Police spent an evening with the Kanatakon Boys and Girls Club. Both police and the Club members ate dinner together before heading into the gym to play floor hockey. After a tiring evening, and lots of fun, the participants gathered for a group photograph.     With March Breach approaching, club members of the Boys & Girls Club (MCA districts) took an active role in raising money for activities. The club organized a four on four lacrosse tournament Saturday at Kana:takon School and raised around $700.     PORTLAND DROPS SAN JOSE, 16-13 LumberJax use balanced scoring to defeat Stealth 02/07/2009 - The Portland LumberJax defeated the San Jose Stealth, 16-13, at Rose Garden on Saturday.     Third-graders at Salmon River Central and St. Regis Mohawk School were highly rewarded Friday for meeting their reading goals. Students who met their January reading goal were given some time away from class to join the Salmon River Varsity hockey teams – boys and girls – for a skating session.
