Friday night, the Wolves faced the Alexandria Glens and ended with a 3-0 victory. Saturday they faced two teams, they first beat the Metcalfe Jets with a score of 4-1. Karley Cree saved the SUNY Canton Kangaroos from a three-game losing streak as her team gradually improved their record over three consecutive games. The age-old saying "good things come to those who wait" can be used to describe last week's boy's varsity game when Salmon River hosted rival Chateaugay. It has been at least 10 years since a SR boy's team has beaten a Chateaugay team. The Shamrocks came roaring out taking an early lead and at one point the score was 10-0. The Canadian Lacrosse League (CLax) will enter into the 2014 season with a five-team league featuring the Barrie Blizzard, Durham TurfDogs, Ohsweken Demons, Niagara Lock Monsters, and a travel team based out of Southwestern Ontario called the SouthWest Cyclops (strictly a travel team).
