The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit ruled that a motion submitted by the state of New York to have a case brought by the Seneca Nation thrown out was denied on January 26th, allowing the lawsuit to continue forward. AKWESASNE – Benjamin Joseph Kelly, age 94, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Massena Hospital, where he had been a patient. Benjamin was born on October 8, 1928 in Saranac Lake to Benjamin Joseph and Anna Bero Kelly. His parents met at the Trudeau Tuberculosis Sanitarium, where he was a patient and she was a nurse aide.
