By Andy Gardner Massena and Salmon River's varsity girls and boys basketball teams went head-to-head with the Raiders coming out on top in both games. The boys teams played Friday, Jan. 31 in Massena. The Raiders took an early lead and didn't let go until the final buzzer. They led 18-4 after the first period, 28-10 at halftime, 42-19 after the third period and the final tally was 55-26. Chris McGregor paced Massena with 14 points. Adam Peets and Ethan Firnstein chipped in nine points each....
The Cornwall Prowlers Senior “A” team will play at home Sunday, February 9th in the best 2 out of 3 semifinals versus the Deseronto Bulldogs. Puck drop is 6:30pm at the Civic Complex. Wolves goalie Max Barrow was overworked but played a solid game making a few huge saves.
