The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Council is in the process of drafting a Tribal Governance Ordinance. This Ordinance would replace the “Act relating to Tribal Council Powers, Procedures, Initiative Referendum, Recall and Removal from Office” commonly referred to as the 1994 Procedures Act. On Sunday, the Akwesasne Wolves fell to the Casselman Vikings 5-2. The Wolves out-shot the Vikings, but couldn’t get the win. After the first period the game was tied 1-1 with goals from Mike Poapst from Dillon Barr for Akwesasne. The tournament featured the Louisville Lightning, North Franklin Shamrocks, Norwood/Norfolk Icemen and the Thousand Island Pirates from Clayton. The tourney started at 7:30 and ended at 5:00.
