On Wednesday, January 13, 2016, Indian Time was informed the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe signed an agreement with the Seaway Valley Ambulance Service, it was information that was...

  • Oscar Protestors Ignore Other Ethnic Peoples, Undermine Move Towards Inclusion

    Doug George Kanentiio|Jan 21, 2016

There is a movement among some African American actors to boycott the upcoming Oscar ceremony because, they believe, the exclusion of black nominees in any of the major categories represents racism within the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. This despite the fact that the president of the AMPAS Cheryl Boone Isaacs is black and many of the recent nominees and recipients from Denzel Washington to Jennifer Hudson are African in origin . When they accepted their awards there were no cries of racism then but universal pride in their...

  • Winter Swings

    Jan 21, 2016

Submitted by Paul Hetzler, CCE Horticulture and Natural Resources Educator “Make me one with everything.” If you had to guess, you’d probably say that was either a request to a short-order cook at a diner, or else a supplication to the Divine. This winter, I think someone whispered that line in Mother Nature’s ear, because even though it is not yet half over, she has already made us a winter with everything. It’s as if she glanced at her weather playlist and hit the buttons for unseasonable warmth, extreme cold, high winds, rain, sleet, ic...
