    The Akwesasne Freedom School has received formal notification the Kanieńkehá immersion school will receive $1 million dollars from the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe. During the SRMT annual draft budget callout, they received thirteen comments in support of funding AFS. SRMT Communications department stated, “The Tribal Council is committed to contributing $1 million to the school’s new building fund.
