    PERU—The Massena Red Raiders Wrestling team finished third among fifteen schools competing at the 39th-Annual Peru Wrestling Classic this past weekend. The third place finish was the team’s highest placing at the tournament in twenty years. John Jay HS placed first and host Peru HS took second place. Leading the way once again for the Raiders squad were Akwesasne’s Barreiro Twins.     The family of Ted Cook was present to share and witness the presentations made to him for all his accomplishments during and since his involvement at SRC. He wore #99 while he played for the Shamrocks. His jersey was presented to him as his family stood by and watched proudly. During his Varsity seasons, his team won the NY State Championships two times. The team ranked 4th in the Nation and was recalled to be the highest honor for any state team.     The Akwesasne Minor Hockey Association held a raffle on November 25th, 2007, for a chance to win $10,000.00 in cash. The winner of the raffle was Brenda Ettienne of Kanesatake.
