It is an invitation only event for the top 150 freshman players in the class of 2019. The best in the United States were placed on teams to compete for two days. Akwesasne, NY (December 31, 2015)-Tarbell Management Group-owned companies Tim Hortons (both Akwesasne and Massena stores) stores donated proceeds to the Akwesasne Cancer Support Group and the St. Lawrence Cancer Group in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe is pleased to announce it has increased the minimum wage for all tribal employees to $11.03. The new minimum wage went into effect on Tsiothohrkó:wa/January 1, 2016 and will immediately benefit approximately 120 tribal employees. The 2015 Akwesasne Jr. B Indians Lacrosse team has had the most successful year ever in lacrosse, bringing home the coveted Founders Cup Nation Title Trophy. For years it has been the target of the Indians as epitomizing the best Jr. Lacrosse team in the nation. We have built a team over the last several years and had come so close in 2012 when we won the Silver medal in an extremely close match against Six Nation Rebels. Tsi Snaihne School students and staff members had a coin drive during the month of December to help raise funds for the Friends Helping Friends food pantry at school. The Tsi Snaihne School Student Council activity for December was a floor hockey Tournament on December 18th. Six teams consisting of students from Grade 2 to 5 had a fun morning playing floor hockey. Congratulations Habs who beat the Baconators 2-0 in the Championship final floor hockey game! All players played hard and had fun!
