The St. Regis Mohawk Tribe announced this week that they are re-implementing their home heating assistance program for the 2010 winter season. The program, initially implemented when fuel prices had soared during the U.S. economic recession, has helped community members of all income brackets stay warm through the winter. In early December, Thomas John Bero, or TJ, underwent a complicated heart surgery and struggled to recover.
