On Saturday, September 26, 2015 the Twinleaf Cruisers Car Club held a cruise-in at the Akwesasne Trading Post. From 11am to 4pm, beautiful cars packed the parking lot with over 90 cars registered. It was an evening of cultural demonstrations and food with displays by the Hotinonshonni Cultural Youth Group and the New Jersey Native American Mission (NJNAM). On Tuesday, August 4, 2015, the Korean Cultural Exchange made their first stop in Akwesasne to the St. Regis Mohawk School. On Thursday, May 7, 2015 the first grade wing at the St. Regis Mohawk School was transformed into an oasis for mothers. Mothers were invited to the school for a Mother's Day Spa. Students gave them back, shoulder and hand massages. Mothers also got a full manicure, getting their nails filed and painted. It certainly was summer-like, with temperatures in the high 80's, on Friday, May 8th when the St. Regis Mohawk School held their Class Olympics. The Akwesasne Coalition for Community Empowerment threw the 3rd annual Me and My Guy Dance on Saturday, April 25, 2015, and the theme was a Garden Tea Party. On Saturday morning, the Seniors Center parking lot was packed for the annual Seed and Tree Giveaway hosted by the Akwesasne Task Force on the Environment (ATFE).
