The boy's varsity basketball squad traveled to Ogdensburg on Tuesday, January 5th to take on the Blue Devils. Project "Sticker Shock" is a community awareness program designed to prevent people 21 years and older from purchasing alcohol and providing it to underage individuals. Dominating performances week after week earned the Salmon River boys varsity cross country team a Section X Class C championship title at sectional meet in Tupper Lake. Another awesome community workshop at the Akwesasne Cultural Museum took place twice a week, for the past three weeks from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Local Artists Gail General and Pam Brown led six cornhusk doll making classes where twelve community members made their own doll. The last home game of the season is a bittersweet time where seniors say goodbye to the home fans as they get ready to embark onto a new stage in their lives.
