    The Lady Raiders outscored the Huskies, 12-4, in the third quarter to take over the lead and held on for a 48-43 victory at their last home game in the Massena High School Gymnasium. The win over the Class A rival was special for the graduating seniors since it was senior night, and what better way to celebrate than with a big win.     Tie dyed shirts, tight curly hair wigs, hot dogs selling for 25 cents and short basketball shorts filled the Massena high school gym when the Red Raider boys hosted Gouverneur on “Retro Night.” The Red Raiders hustled past the Wildcats 76-54.     Academic All-Northern Awards were given out last Saturday at the Pine Street Arena in Potsdam. Athletes are eligible for this award if they have a high school average of 88 or higher.     The Lady Raiders ended their best season in the program’s six-year history with a 3-1 loss to Canton. The Golden Bears are now on a six game winning streak.     The Massena Lady Raiders hockey squad kicked off the “Massena Athletes Fight Cancer” fundraiser last Wednesday with a victory over the visiting Salmon River Shamrocks with a score of 5-1.     Four days after the Massena Red Raiders claimed a 44-43 victory over Potsdam, the Sandstoners came to town for a rematch and left with a 60-40 victory.     Last Thursday the Potsdam Lady Sandstoners were in town for a Central Division basketball contest. The two teams played a seesaw first quarter until a rebound by Alisha Jacobs put the Lady Raiders ahead 17-15 at the end of the quarter.
