The Cornwall Novice Typhoons Black team were recently crowned champions in the Nov. 9-11th tournament at the Benson Center. The Novice black team consisted of 7-8 year old determined girls who went undefeated throughout the tournament. Akwesasne Minor hockey association held its first IP - Initiation scrimmage game for kids ages 6 and Under against Malone on Sunday, Jan. 15th at the A’nowara’ko:wa Arena. It was a fun and magical game for our kids, they played hard, score a bunch, tumbled and slid around a couple of times, knocked each other over, and at the end shook hands proudly with their opponent, who defeated them 10-8. Akwesasne Soaring Eagles volleyball club is now an inaugural member of the Ontario Volleyball Association Beach Volleyball tournament circuit with five teams competing in 12U - 13U - 14U - 16U & 17U. The girls are consider high performance beach and will be competing June-August 2011 ending their season with Provincials August 6th.
