The Akwesasne Thunderbirds opened the 2010 lacrosse season with a bang on Apr. 24 by declaring victory over defending Quebec Senior Lacrosse League champions the Kahnawa:ke Mohawks with a final score of 12-10. The St. Regis Mohawk Health Services (SRMHS), in collaboration with the University of Albany, is conducting a research project that will examine the impacts of environmental pollutants, such as PCBs and lead, and their affect on the reproductive health of Akwesasne women. On March 27 to 28, the Snye Recreation Center in Tsi Snaihne (Snye) held their Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Flea Market. The event is one of the largest that the center organizes and was fun for the whole family.
